Meta-analysis of the effect of acupoint application of Chinese medicine on acute mesenteric lymphadenitis in children
Objective To evaluate the effect of acupoint application of Chinese medicine on acute mesenteric lymphadenitis in children.Methods Literature on the treatment of acute mesenteric lymphadenitis in children with Chinese medicine acupoint application published in PubMed,Cochrane Library,Medline,CNKI,Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform and other databases from January 1,2013 to January 31,2023 was searched.The experimental group was treated with Chinese medicine acupoint application combined with conventional western medicine,and the control group was treated with conventional western medicine.Newcastle literature Quality Evaluation Scale was used to evaluate the quality of the litera-ture,and meta-analysis was performed using Revman 5.3 software.Results Finally,7 literatures were included,with a total of 606 cases.According to the results of literature heterogeneity analysis,the combined effect size of the study variables was calculated using fixed or random effects models.The results of meta-analysis showed that compared with control group,the effective rate of experimental group was higher,the relief time of fever,abdominal pain and vomiting were shorter,and the longitudinal and transverse diameter of mesenteric lymph nodes were shorter(P<0.01).Conclusion Chinese medicine acupoint application in the treatment of acute mesenteric lymphadenitis in children is remarkable,which can quickly stabilize body temperature,relieve abdominal pain,vomiting and other discomfort,promote the recovery of children.
