Effects of aspirin combined with cilostazol on clinical efficacy, cognition and motor function of patients with acute ischemic stroke during percutaneous coronary intervention
Objective To study the effects of aspirin combined with cilostazol on clinical efficacy, cognition and motor function of patients with acute ischemic stroke during percutaneous coronary intervention. Methods Ninety patients with acute ischemic stroke admitted to The Sec-ond Clinical College of North Sichuan Medical College,Nanchong Central Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were retrospectively select-ed,and divided into the study group(n=45)and the control group(n=45)according to the different treatment. The study group was treated with aspirin and cilostazol-assisted stenting, while the control group was treated with clopidogrel-assisted stenting alone. The scores of Montreal cognitive assessment scale(MoCA),Fugl-Meyer(FMA)of motor function, serum glutathione peroxidase(GSHPx)level, total effective rate, bleeding rate and re-occlusion rate were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the MoCA score and FMA score of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, the MoCA score and FMA score of the study group were(26.73±5.22)and(62.38±14.41)points,respectively,which were significantly higher than those of the control group[(21.41±4.67)and(50.96±14.25)points],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment the levels of serum GSHPx in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, and the level of serum GSHPx in the study group were(50.58±6.28)U/L,which was significantly higher than that in the control group[(47.14±6.13)U/L],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Af-ter treatment the total effective rate of the study group was 97.78%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(82.22%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The bleeding rate of the study group was 0,which was significantly lower than that of the control group(11.11%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in re-occlu-sion rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with clopidogrel-assisted percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, aspirin combined with cilostazol can significantly improve the curative effect and further promote the rapid recovery of cognitive and motor functions of pa-tients with acute ischemic stroke, effectively improve glutathione peroxidase levels, and reduce the risk of bleeding.
