Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of technetium-99 conjugated with methylene diphosphonate(99 Tc-MDP),zole-dronic acid and salmon calcitonin injection in the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis(OP)and their effects on bone turnover indexes,in-flammatory factors and bone mineral density(BMD).Methods A total of 75 postmenopausal OP patients admitted to the Second Affiliated Hos-pital of Xiamen Medical College from March 2021 to March 2023 were included in this prospective study and divided into observation group 1,ob-servation group 2,and observation group 3 using random number table method,25 cases in each group.All patients were treated with proper cal-citriol and calcium carbonate D3.In addition,patient in observation group 1 were treated with 99Tc MDP,patients in observation group 2 were treated with zoledronic acid injection and patients in observation group 3 were treated with salmon calcitonin injection.The treatment course was 3 months.The levels of serum N-terminal propeptide of type Ⅰ collagen(TP 1NP),β cross-linked C-telopeptide of type 1 collagen(β-CTX),inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)]after 3 months of treatment,numerical rating scale(NRS)score of pain after 1,6,12 months of treatment,and BMD of lumbar spine,total hip and femoral neck after 12 months of treatment,and adverse reactions were compared among the three groups.Results There were statistically significant differences in the levels of serum TP1NP,β-CTX,TNF-α and IL-6 among the three groups of patients after 3 months of treatment(P<0.05),and the TP1NP and β-CTX after 3 months of treatment in the observation group 1 and observation group 3 were dramatically higher than those in the observation group 2,while TNF-α,IL-6 were dramatically lower than those in the observation group 2,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),and there were no statis-tically significant differences in TP1NP,β-CTX,TNF-α,IL-6 of observation group 1 and observation group 3(P>0.05).There were sta-tistically significant differences in NRS scores among the three groups after 1,3,and 6 months of treatment(P<0.05),the NRS scores of obser-vation group 1 and observation group 3 were dramatically lower than those of observation group 2 after 1,3,and 6 months of treatment,while there was no statistically significant difference in NRS scores between observation group 1 and observation group 3(P>0.05).There was statistically significant difference in Lumbar spine(L1-4)BMD among the three groups of patients after 12 months of treatment(P<0.05),while there were no statistically significant differences in total hip and femoral neck BMD(P>0.05),the lumbar spine(L1-4)BMD of observation group 1 after 12 months of treatment was dramatically higher than that of observation group 2 and observation group 3,while there was no statistically significant difference in lumbar spine(L1-4)BMD between observation group 2 and observation group 3(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion 99Tc MDP is superior to zoledronic acid injec-tion and salmon calcitonin injection in the treatment of postmenopausal OP.It can significantly improve bone metabolism and lumbar BMD,allevi-ate inflammatory reaction,alleviate bone pain,and has good safety.
