Correlation between suicidal ideation of depression patients and serum inflammatory factors,metabolic index
Objective:To study the correlation between suicidal ideation of depression patients and meta-bolic index,serum inflammatory factors.Method:Total 119 patients who were hospitalized in the department of psychiatry of our hospital from May 2020 to August 2022 with first-episode depression were collected,we di-vided them into two groups according to the scores of Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)item 3"suicide"(H3).74 patients with H3≥1 was the group with suicidal ideation,and 45 patients with H3＜1 was the group without suicidal ideation.Results:The levels of serum inflammatory factors and metabolic index were different between the two groups.The levels of interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-10(IL-10)and in-terleukin-17(IL-17)in the group with suicidal ideation were higher than those in the group without suicidal ide-ation(all P＜0.05),while the creatinine level was lower(P＜0.05),the difference was statistically signifi-cant.Correlation analysis showed that serum IL-2(r =0.29,P＜0.01),IL-4(r =0.20,P =0.03)and IL-17(r =0.21,P =0.02)levels were positively correlated with the scores of HAMD item 3"suicide".Creatinine levels were negatively correlated with the scores of HAMD item 3 ＂suicide＂(r =-0.22,P = 0.02).Conclusion:The serum inflammatory factors and creatinine of depression patients with suicidal ideation are dif-ferent from those without suicidal ideation,and the above factors have a certain correlation with the severity of suicide.
