A study on the correlation between speech hallucination and suicidal ideation in schizophrenic patients
Objective:To study and analyze the correlation between speech auditory hallucinations and suicidal ideation in patients with schizophrenia.Method:Seventy-eight patients with schizophrenia in our hospital from February 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the research subjects, and were divided into the speech-based auditory hallucinations group(42 cases)and the non-verbal auditory hallucinations group(36 ca-ses);the suicidal ideation group(45 cases)and the non-suicidal ideation group(33 cases). The cognitive in-terpretation,emotional characteristics, authoritative beliefs, malicious beliefs, and malicious beliefs between the two groups were compared.Resistance to auditory hallucinations and other verbal auditory hallucinations Psychi-atric Symptom Rating Scale-Auditory Hallucinations Subscale(PSYRATS-AH)assessment scores in five dimen-sions,and analyze its correlation with suicidal ideation. Results:The rates of suicidal ideation in the speech auditory hallucinations group were significantly higher than those in the speechless auditory hallucinations group(P<0.05).The scores of patients in the suicidal ideation group were significantly lower than those in the non-suicidal ideation group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(all P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that speech auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia patients were correlated with their suicidal ideation;multiple linear regression analysis showed that the scores of verbal auditory halluci-nations in 4 dimensions of cognitive interpretation, emotional characteristics, authoritative beliefs and malicious beliefs were positively correlated with the scores of suicidal ideation(P =0.035,0.044,0.038,0.042).Conclusion:Verbal auditory hallucinations in patients with schizophrenia are closely correlated with their sui-cidal thoughts, and the higher the scores of cognitive interpretation, emotional characteristics, authoritative be-liefs,and malicious beliefs of speech auditory hallucinations are,the stronger their suicidal thoughts will be.
