Effect of exercise therapy on negative emotions and quality of life in adolescent patients with depression
Objective:To explore the influence of clinical routine nursing assisted exercise therapy on the negative emotion and quality of life of adolescent depression patients.Method:This study aimed to inves-tigate the impact of clinical routine care combined with exercise therapy on negative emotions and quality of life in adolescents with depression,conducted at Xuzhou Medical University Affiliated Xuzhou Oriental Hospital from February 2021 to February 2022.Seventy adolescents with depression were selected and randomly divided into the observation group(35 cases)and the control group(35 cases).The control group received routine clinical care,while the observation group received additional exercise therapy.The Beck depression inventory(BDI)was used to compare negative emotions between the two groups,the social disability screening schedule(SDSS)was employed to assess social functional impairment,and the SF-36 Health Survey was utilized to evaluate the life quality of both groups.Results:After the intervention,the BDI scores for negative emotions in the observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group,with statistically significance(P<0.05).The SDSS scores in the observation group were also lower than those in the control group,with statistically significance(P<0.05).Furthermore,the SF-36 scores for various indicators in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,with statistically significance(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Exercise therapy on the basis of routine clinical care for adolescent depression patients can significantly improve the negative emotions of adoles-cent depression patients,as well as their social adaptability and quality of life,which is worth promoting.
