Construction and verification of risk early warning model for epilepsy patients complicated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
Objective:To explore the risk factors of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)in patients with epilepsy, and to establish a risk warning model and verify it.Method:A total of 120 patients with epilepsy in Shaoxing Seventh People s Hospital from January 2020 to May 2023 were selected and divided into the ADHD group and the non-ADHD group according to whether the patients were complicated with ADHD.Logistic regression analysis was performed on the relevant clinical characteristics to construct a risk early warning model. Results:In this study, there were of 120 epilepsy patients, and 38 of them were complicated with ADHD,the complication rate was 31.67%.Logistic regression analysis showed that symptomatic epilepsy(OR=7.116),multifocal discharge(OR=11.386),course of disease>10 years(OR=10.130),age of first onset≤5 years(OR=9.116),MRI brain abnormalities(OR=4.837)and combined medication(OR=6.257)were independent risk factors for ADHD in patients with epilepsy. The model regression equation Logit(P)=1.962 × symptomatic+2.432 × multifocal discharge+2.316 × course of disease(>10 years)+2.210 × age of first onset(≤5 years)+1.576 × MRI brain abnormalities+1.834 × combined medication-5.474.Conclusion:Epilepsy patients with ADHD are affected by disease characteristics, age of onset, family and other factors. The risk early warning model established based on this has good predictive efficacy.
