Advances in the treatment of depression using transcranial direct current stimulation
Significant characteristics of depression include low mood and cognitive decline, and transcranial direct current stimulation,as a non-invasive treatment, has been found to be able to change the symptoms of depression patients through electrical stimulation.Transcranial direct current stimulation is used clinically to treat patients with refractory or drug-resistant depression, and research is continuing to explore the definitive evidence that transcranial direct current stimulation improves mood and cognition,as well as related biomarkers, with a view to better therapeutic outcomes. In this paper,we summarize its current progress, and discuss its shortcomings and prospects.
