The influencing factors of addiction to non-suicidal self-injury in adolescent depression patients
Objective:To study the influencing factors of addiction to non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)in adolescent depression patients.Method:A total of 171 adolescent depression patients from the Department of Psychiatry at the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from 2021 to 2022 were included.General demography data and basic clinical information were collected. The Ottawa self-injury inventory(OSI)was used to evaluate the addiction characteristics of NSSI in patients, based on which the patients were categorized into a high-addiction group with 100 cases and a low-addiction group with 71 cases. The adolescent self-rating life events checklist, childhood trauma questionnaire and adolescent social support scale were used to explore influencing factors. Results:The group with high scores on addiction characteristics had higher scores on all scales as well as scores on most factors, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05),and an equations:y=15.030-0.707 × first self-injury age+0.392 × interpersonal relationships+0.468 × health and adaptation-0.220 × support utilization were established for each influencing factor,R2=0.389.Conclusion:The younger age of the first self-injury,psychotic symptoms, poor interpersonal relationships and adaptability, and unhealthy physical and mental health are the risk factors of the addiction of NSSI in adolescent depression patients, while good support utilization is the protective factor.
