Analysis of influencing factors of suicide attempt in adolescents with first-episode depressive disorder
Objective:To investigate the influencing factors of suicide attempt in adolescents with first-episode depressive disorder.Method:From July 2020 to February 2022,a total of 125 adolescents with first-episode depressive disorder in Hebei Provincial Mental Health Center were recruited,they were divided into a group with attempted suicide(51 cases)and a group without attempted suicide(74 cases).The demographic characteristics,disease characteristics and related indicators were compared between the two groups.Results:The scores of guilt factor,work and interest factor and total score of Hamilton depression rating scale-17(HAMD-17)in the attempted suicide group were higher than those in the non-attempted suicide group.The serum homocysteine level,free thyroxine 4(FT4)in thyroid function in the attempted suicide group were lower than those in the non-attempted suicide group(all P<0.05).The total score of HAMD-17(OR=1.194)and FT4(OR=0.051)were associated with suicidal behavior in adolescents with first-episode depressive disorder.Conclusion:The more severe the depressive symptoms of adolescent patients with first-episode depressive disorder,the higher the incidence of attempted suicide.The level of serum FT4 was negatively correlated with the occurrence of attempted suicide.
