Advances in the mechanism of glucocorticoid therapy in traumatic hemorrhagic shock
Traumatic hemorrhagic shock is a hypovolemic shock caused by severe traumatic blood loss. The patients with this disease have acute onset, high mortality, and great difficulty in treatment, which can easily cause permanent organ damage or death. At present, there is an urgent need to improve the treatment strategy and improve the success rate of treatment.Blood loss and insufficient effective blood volume are the core mecha-nisms of traumatic hemorrhagic shock,in which inflammatory response and immune imbalance also play an im-portant role. How to delay or improve the imbalance of inflammation while replenishing the blood volume may be the key to improve the success rate of treatment.Recent studies have shown that glucocorticoids have important clinical value in the treatment of traumatic hemorrhagic shock, but the involvement is not deep enough, and com-prehensive evaluation is urgently needed. This review focuses on the clinical effects and mechanisms of glucocorti-coids in the treatment of traumatic hemorrhagic shock.
