Effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation in patients with heart failure complicated by persistent atrial fibrillation
Objective To observe the effect of radiofrequency ablation in patients with heart failure complicated by persistent atrial fibrillation(PAF).Methods A total of 127 patients with heart failure complicated by PAF were randomly divided into observation(n=63)and control(n=64)group,controls received amiodarone medication, and observation group did radiofrequency ablation on the basis of controls. Both groups were treated for continuous 3 months and followed up for 6 months after operation. After treatment, clinical efficacy and re-admission for heart failure were compared between two groups, before and after treatment such indexes were compared between two groups as cardiac function indicators(Left Atrium Diameter[LAD],Left Ventricular End-Diastolic Diameter[LVDD],and Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction[LVEF]),qualities of life(score on the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire[MLHFQ]),and serological indicators(Tissue Inhibitor of Metal Protease-1[TIMP-1]and Matrix Metalloprotein-9[MMP-9])levels.Results After treatment, the clinical total effective rate was higher in observation than control group(P<0.05).After treatment LAD and Radiofrequency ablation can effectively improve the cardiac functions of patients with heart failure complicated by PAF and deserves clinical promotion.
