The relationship between stress and subjective well-being in dysaudia students:moderating effects of physical activity behavior
Objective To explore the effects of stress and physical activity behavior(PAB)on subjective well-being in dysaudia students. Methods Investigations were carried out in 392 dysaudia students using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21(DASS-21),Physical Activity Rating Scale-3(PARS-3)and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire-Short Form(OHQ-SF).Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship of stress and the PAB with subjective well-being and Bootstrap method to analyze the moderating effects of the PAB between stress and subjective well-being.Results Pearson correlation analysis showed that stress was negatively related to subjective well-being in dysaudia students(P<0.01)and the PAB positively to subjective well-being(P<0.01).Among moderating models of the PAB,the direct effects of stress and PAB on subjective well-being reached the significant level(P<0.01),stress and PAB had interaction effect on subjective well-being(P<0.01),and which showed that the PAB played a moderating effect between stress and subjective well-being in dysaudia students.Simple slope test shows that with the increase of the PAB physical activity behavior, the negative predictive effect of stress on subjective well-being was greater. Conclusion The PAB has an active effect on subjective well-being in dysaudia students, increasing the PAB can moderate the relationship between stress and subjective well-being and alleviate the impact of stress on their psychosomatic health.
