Effect of 5E rehabilitation nursing on coping style,self-management ability and nursing satisfaction of renal failure patients undergoing blood purification
Objective To explore the effect of 5E(encouragement-education-exercise-employment-evaluation)rehabilitation nursing on coping style,self-management ability and nursing satisfaction of renal failure patients undergoing blood purification. Methods Seventy-eight renal failure patients undergoing blood purification were randomly divided into observation and control group, with 39 ones in each.Controls received routine nursing and observation group did 5E rehabilitation nursing on the basis of controls.Such indexes were compared between two groups as renal functions(blood creatinine, urea nitrogen, serum calcium and phosphorus level),self-management abilities(Hemodialysis Self-Management Instrument[HD-SMI]score),coping styles(Chinese version of Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire[MCMQ]score)and nursing satisfaction(Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Scales[NSNS]score). Results After nursing, blood creatinine, urea nitrogen and calcium levels as well as the avoidance and resignation scores of the MCMQ lowered, phosphorus levels, each dimension scores of the HD-SMI and confronce scores of the MCMQ elevated in both groups compared with pre-nursing,and observation was better than control group(P<0.05 or 0.01).The total satisfaction rate was higher in observation than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of 5E rehabilitation nursing is effective in renal failure patients undergoing blood purification and worthy of clinical promotion.
