Effect of nursing intervention based on ABC-X theory applied in chronic wound patients undergoing the A-ADM treatment
Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on ABC-X theory applied in chronic wound patients undergoing allogeneic acellular dermal matrix(A-ADM)treatment.Methods Eighty chronic wound patients were assigned to control(n=37)and observation(n=43)group according to admission time. Both groups received A-ADM treatment and routine nursing intervention,on this basis observation group did nursing intervention based on ABC-X theory.Wound edema, healing status,pre-and post-operation negative emotions, illness uncertainty and changes of coping styles were compared between groups. Results Intergroup differences in postoperative 24 and 48 hour wound edema scores, postoperative 1 and 2 weer wound healing rates and wound healing time weren't statistically significant(P>0.05).Two weeks after surgery,Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale scores lowered in both groups compared with pre-operation and those were lower in observation than control group(P<0.05 or 0.01).Two weeks after surgery, the total, ambiguity, lack of clarity and unpredictability score of the Mishel Uncertainty in Illness Scale(MUIS)lowered compared with pre-operation in observation group and those were lower than control group(P<0.05 or 0.01);there was no obvious change in the MUIS score before and after operation in control group(P>0.05).Two weeks after surgery, positive coping score of the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire elevated and negative lowered in both groups compared with pre-operation,observation group was superior to controls(P<0.05 or 0.01).Conclusion Nursing intervention based on ABC-X theory applied in chronic wound patients undergoing the A-ADM is beneficial to the improvement of negative emotions, illness uncertainty and coping style, can promote early rehabilitation of patients, and has better application effect.
