Effect of TCM emotional nursing combined with enhanced recovery nursing based on Omaha system in patients undergoing radical nephrectomy for renal cancer
Objective To explore the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)emotional nursing combined with Omaha system(OS)-based enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)nursing in patients undergoing radical nephrectomy for renal cancer.Methods Eighty-two renal cancer patients were randomly divided into observation and control group,with 41 ones in each.Controls received OS-based ERAS nursing and observation group did TCM emotional nursing intervention on the basis of controls.Such indexes were compared between two groups as qualities of life(The Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General[FACT-G]score),mental states(Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale[HADS score]),postoperative comfort levels(General Comfort Questionnaire[GCQ]score),and sleep qualities(Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index[PSQI]score).Results After intervention,each dimension and total score of the FACT-G were higher and the PSQI was lower in observation than control group(P＜0.01).Anxiety and depression scores of the HADS lowered in both groups compared with pre-intervention and those were lower in observation than control group(P＜0.01),each dimension scores of the GCQ elevated in both groups and those were higher observation than control group(P＜0.01).Conclusion The TCM emotional nursing combined with OS-based ERAS nursing has a remarkable effect in patients undergoing radical nephrectomy for renal cancer,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
