A case report of agoraphobia undergoing psychological counseling
Agoraphobia is an obvious fear or anxiety about two or more of the following situations:using public transport, entering an open/closed space, standing in line/being in a crowd, and leaving home alone.Individuals will always proactively avoid these scenarios because of the thought of catastrophizing idea that it is difficult to escape or get no help in a plau of fear, which seriously influences social function and mental health.Authors'team corrected the catastrophizing thoughts to reduce the patients'fear of these scenes and avoidance behavior, restore normal social function, enhance self-confidence,and promote personality growth via combined use of cognitive behavioral therapy, breathing relaxation, and exposure therapy. It is hoped that this method and idea can be popularized and applied via the presentation and analysis of the consultation process.
