Objective To investigate the causes and preventive measures of misdiagnosis of liver tuberculosis as he-patic tumor. Methods The clinical data of 3 patients with hepatic tuberculosis who had been misdiagnosed as hepatic tumor from January 2020 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and the relevant literature was reviewed. Results Of the 3 cases,2 cases presented with upper abdominal pain and fever, and 1 case presented with hepatic space occupying lesion de-tected by physical examination. One case had a history of tuberculous pleurisy.Hepatic tumors were considered in 3 patients by abdominal ultrasound,CT or PET-CT,and 1 of them was treated with left external lobe resection and hilar lymph node dis-section.Afterwards,3 cases were diagnosed with liver tuberculosis by ultrasound-guided biopsy biopsy, postoperative patho-logical examination, and diagnostic anti-tuberculosis therapy, and all of them improved after anti-tuberculosis therapy.Con-clusion Hepatic tuberculosis is rare and atypical in clinical practice, which is,therefore, more likely to be misdiagnosed.Careful inquiry of tuberculosis-related history and early ultrasound-guided biopsy of liver lesions may help reduce or avoid mis-diagnosis and mistreatment.
