Objective To investigate the causes of early misdiagnosis of glandular cystitis as bladder tumor and the preventive measures. Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with glandular cystitis who were misdiagnosed before surgery from February 2021 to October 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Results The main symptoms of 11 cases were frequent urination, urgent urination, urinalgia, with or without gross hematuria, dysuria, and lower abdominal distension.Combined with the results of transabdominal ultrasonography, the preliminary diagnosis was bladder tumor, and the possibility of malig-nancy could not be ruled out.To identify the nature of the tumor, cystoscopic biopsy was performed and glandular cystitis was confirmed. The misdiagnosis lasted 5-7 d.After diagnosis,11 cases were treated with transurethral electrification combined with drug bladder perfusion. At 2-3 months after treatment, the bladder mucosa returned to normal by cystoscopy. Conclusion The incidence of glandular cystitis is low,and the early clinical and ultrasound imaging manifestations are varied and non-specific.Therefore,it is more likely to be misdiagnosed as bladder tumor before cystoscopy and pathological examination.
