Objective To explore the impact of Sujin formula on Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome score,airway remodeling and humoral immunity in patients with cough after infection.Methods A total of 120 patients with post-infection cough admitted from July 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects,and were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method,with 60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Dioxypromazine,and the observation group was treated with Sujin formula combined with Dioxypromazine.The efficacy and adverse reactions of TCM in the two groups were analyzed and compared.TCM syndrome scores,daytime and nighttime cough symptom scores,airway remodeling indexes[tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1),matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)],humoral immune indexes[immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin M(IgM),immuno-globulin G(IgG)]and Leicester Cough Questionnaire(LCQ)score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of observation group was 96.67%(58/60),which was higher than that of control group[80.00%(48/60)](P＜0.01).After treatment,the scores of heavy cough turbidity,dry cough without phlegm,acute breath and itchy throat,daytime and night cough symptom scores and serum levels of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in the observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the physiological score,psychological score,social score,and total score of LCQ as well as serum IgA,IgM and IgG levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Sujin formula combined with Dioxypromazine has a definite effect in the treatment of cough after infection,which can inhibit airway remodeling,reduce clinical symptoms,enhance body immunity,improve quali-ty of life,and have good safety.
