Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)is an advanced extracorporeal life support technique, which has been widely used in the treatment of cardiogenic shock, respiratory failure, and postoperative heart failure.Aero-medical evacuation is characterized by high speed, high efficiency, strong flexibility, wide range and small geographical influ-ence.However,a variety of complications will inevitably occur during aeromedical evacuation, and limb ischemia,thrombo-sis,and cerebral embolism may also occur during treatment;prolonged use of ECMO may also cause complications such as in-fection.Based on this,in order to better treat patients and reduce the occurrence of complications during aeromedical evacua-tion,the management of areomedical evacuation for patients with severe respiratory infections supported by ECMO is reviewed.
