Effect of Phacoemulsification Combined with SBL-3 Regional Refractive Aspheric IOL in the Treatment of Age-related Cataract and Its Impact on Visual Quality
Objective To explore the effect of phacoemulsification combined with SBL-3 regional refractive aspheric intraocular lens(IOL)in the treatment of age-related cataract and its impact on visual quality.Methods In total,110 pa-tients with age-related cataract admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2022 were selected and divided into single focus group(n =55)and SBL-3 group(n =55)by the random number table method.The single focus group was given phacoemulsification combined with ADAPT AO aspheric single focus IOL implantation,and the SBL-3 group was treated with phacoemulsification combined with SBL-3 regional refractive aspheric IOL implantation.Contrast sensitivity(bright light,dark light,bright glare,dark glare),visual quality[objective scatter index(OSI),strehl ratio(SR),modulation transfer func-tion cutoff frequency(MTF cut off)]at 3 months after surgery,visual acuity[best corrected near vision acuity(BCNVA),best corrected distance visual acuity(BCDVA),distance corrected near visual acuity(DCNVA)]and quality of life[Visual Function and Quality of Life Questionnaire(VF-QOL)]before surgery and at 3 months after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results At 3 months after surgery,the contrast sensitivity in SBL-3 group was higher than that in single fo-cus group(P<0.05).The OSI,BCNVA,BCDVA and DCNVA levels in both groups at 3 months after surgery were reduced compared with those before surgery,and the above indicators in SBL-3 group were lower than those in single focus group(P<0.05).At3 months after surgery,the SR,MTF cut off and VF-QOL scores in the two groups were enhanced compared to those before surgery,and the indicators were higher in SBL-3 group than in single focus group(P<0.05).Conclusion ty,and improve the visual acuity and quality of life in patients with age-related cataract.
