Objective To explore the efficacy of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT)combined with magnetic resonance im-aging(MRI)in the diagnosis of occult fracture of the knee joint in the elderly. Methods A total of 120 elderly patients with suspected occult fracture of the knee admitted from March 2021 to January 2024 were selected as the research subjects.MSCT and MRI were performed after admission. The diagnostic value of MSCT and MRI alone and in combination in elderly patients with occult fracture of the knee was compared. Results In 38 patients undergoing MSCT again,6 patients were detected at the 2nd week after injury,17 patients at the 3rd week,13 patients at the 4th week, and 2 patients after the 4th week. The sen-sitivity[100.00%(109/109)]and accuracy of[100.00%(120/120)]were higher than those of MSCT in the diagnosis of occult fracture of the knee in the elderly[84.17%(101/120),91.67%(110/120)],and MRI[85.83%(103/120),94.17%(113/120)];the missed diagnosis rate[0(0/109)]was lower than that of MSCT[(7.34%)(8/109)]and MRI[(5.50%)(6/109)](P<0.05).Conclusion The combined diagnosis of MSCT and MRI can effectively improve the diagnostic accuracy of occult fracture of the knee joint in the elderly, and provide reference for early clinical diagnosis.
