Objective To investigate the clinical effect of CICE-mandibular protractor in the treatment of Class Ⅱmalocclusion deformity.Methods A total of 66 patients with Class Ⅱ malocclusion deformity were selected from January 2021 to January 2022,and were divided into research group and control group by random number table method,with 33 cases in each group.The control group wore a movable bevel guide,and the research group wore a CICE-mandibular protractor.Dental and bone parameters,root absorption grade of the incisor,sagittal angle and sagittal dimension indexes were compared between the two groups.Results The bone parameters in the research group were larger than those in the control group,while the dental parameters were smaller than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The root absorption grade of the incisor in the research group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,SNA,ANB,Is-OLP and Ms-OLP were lower in the research group than in the control group,while SNB,OLP-A,OLP-Pg,Ii-OLP and Mi-OLP were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion In Class Ⅱ malocclusion deformity patients,the use of CICE-mandibular protrac-tor is more effective and can significantly reduce the risk of root resorption and lower anterior lip tilt during correction.
