Analysis of the Effect of Platelet-rich Plasma on the Healing of Perineal Lateral Incision Wounds in Parturient Women and Its Impact on Improve-ment of Negative Emotions
Objective To investigate the effect of platelet-rich plasma(PRP)on wound healing, pain and swelling levels, and improvement of negative emotions in patients undergoing perineal lateral incision. Methods A total of 90 parturi-ent women undergoing perineal lateral incision from January to May 2024 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into a conventional group(n=45)and a PRP group(n=45)according to random number table method. The con-ventional group received conventional treatment for the perineal lateral incision wounds, while the PRP group received conven-tional treatment after subcutaneous multi-point injection of PRP on both sides of the incision. The visual analog scale(VAS)pain score, redness, edema, ecchymosis, discharge, and wound edge approximation scale(REEDA),patient health ques-tionnaire depression scale-9(PHQ-9),and generalized anxiety disorder-7(GAD-7)were compared between the two groups at 1,2,7,and 14 d after surgery. The clinical symptom relief time, excellent and good rate of efficacy, and wound infection rate were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of VAS pain,REEDA,PHQ-9,and GAD-7 in the PRP group were lower than those in the conventional group at 7 and 14 d after surgery(P<0.05).The PRP group had a shorter swelling relief time and pain relief time. The excellent and good rate of the PRP group was 100.00%(45/45),which was higher than that of the conventional group's[86.67%(39/45)](P<0.05).The wound infection rate in the PRP group was 0,which was lower than that of the conventional group[13.33%(6/45)](P<0.05).Conclusion PRP treatment follow-ing perineal lateral incision can promote wound healing, shorten the time for swelling and pain relief, reduce pain levels,im-prove negative emotions, and reduce the risk of infection in parturient women.
