Diabetes mellitus is a major risk factor for coronary artery disease and cardiovascular events, and the complex vascular profile of its patients is one of the major challenges facing PCI.Although the use of drug-elu-ting stents has reduced the rate of coronary restenosis in diabetic patients, there is still an increased risk of MACE after stent placement in diabetic patients compared to non-diabetic patients. To further minimize post-stenting complications,drug-coated balloon(DCB)has emerged as a new means of coronary intervention driven by the no-implantation concept, which provides a new strategy for interventional treatment of coronary lesions with comor-bid diabetes. This review summarizes the clinical studies on the use of DCB for the treatment of coronary artery le-sions in diabetic patients in recent years,in order to investigate the efficacy and safety of DCB for the treatment of coronary artery vasculopathy combined with diabetes mellitus.
