Analysis of current situation and related factors of hyperuricemia among residents in Nujiang prefecture of Yunnan
Objective:To investigate the prevalence of hyperuricemia(HUA)in the population of Nujiang Pre-fecture,Yunnan,and explore the associated risk factors. Methods:Clinical data of 17 183 physical examiners from the Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture Peoples Hospital from August 2020 to July 2023 were selected as the research subjects.Biochemical indicators such as uric acid, triglycerides, total cholesterol,low-density lipo-protein,and fasting blood glucose were collected. The changes in the prevalence of HUA in different age and gen-der groups were retrospectively analyzed, and the correlation between uric acid levels and clinical indicators such as blood glucose and blood lipids was explored. Results:The prevalence of HUA among the physical examination population in Nujiang Prefecture,Yunnan was 48.45%,with the majority of patients being middle-aged and young men under the age of 40.In the male population, there was no significant difference in cholesterol detection values regardless of the level of uric acid, while there was a statistical difference in the female population(P<0.05);there were statistically significant differences in low-density lipoprotein detection values between males and females with different levels of uric acid(P<0.05);there was a statistically significant difference in triglyceride detection values between males and females with different levels of uric acid(P<0.05);in the male population, there was a statistically significant difference in fasting blood glucose detection values at different levels of uric acid(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in the female population. From the overall trend, high uric acid was positively correlated with abnormal increases in triglycerides, total cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein;while it was negatively correlated with elevated fasting blood sugar. Conclusion:The incidence of HUA in the population of Nujiang Prefecture,Yunnan was relatively high, and special attention should be paid to young and middle-aged male residents in the area to strengthen the control of uric acid and blood lipid levels.
