Analysis of the clinical effect on transfusion of incompatible red blood cells in patients with ABO-incompatibility hematopoietic stem cell transplantation
Objective:To analyze the efficacy of transfusion of mismatched common red blood cells and washed red blood cells in patients with ABO incompatible hematopoietic stem cell(ABOi-HSCT)transplantation when an-tigens and corresponding antibodies coexist,so as to provide a basis for safe and rational use of blood. Methods:A total of 56 ABOi-HSCT patients without alloantibodies in Shanghai Zhaxin Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine from January 2020 to December 2023 were selected. The hemoglobin(Hb),red blood cell(RBC),hematocrit(HCT),total bilirubin(TBil),indirect bilirubin(IBIL)indexes before and after transfusion of mismatched common red blood cells and washed red blood cells were statistically analyzed. Results:There was no significant difference in the effect and safety of transfusion between incompatible ordinary red blood cells and washed red blood cells. Conclusion:in the case of difficult to obtain washed red blood cells, transfusion of incom-patible ordinary red blood cells in ABOi-HSCT patients with coexistence of antigens and antibodies in vivo is also safe and effective.
