Correlation analysis of poor vision screening and system influencing factor ofprimary and secondary school students in Huaiyin District,Jinan
Objective To analyze correlation between poor vision and health condition indicators of primary and secondary school students of Huaiyin District of Jinan,so as to further understand the prevalence of poor vision and its associated system influencing factor.Methods A cross-sectional study was designed.The total number of screened students was 126 070 in Huaiyin District,Jinan City in this study from 2020 to 2021.The x2 test,t-test,and logistic regression analysis were used for statistical analysis of correlations of systemic factors affecting morbidity.Results The prevalence of poor vision in primary and secondary schools in 2020~2021 in Huaiyin District,Jinan was 53.83%.Female shown a higher poor visual acuity rate than male(P<0.05).The prevalence of poor visual acuity increased with grade level,the degree of myopia also gradually deepen with age(P<0.05).The risk factors of poor vision were chest deformity[OR(95%CI):1.89(1.20,2.98),P<0.05],and thyroid abnormality[OR(95%CI):1.93(1.22,3.06),P<0.05].The risk factor for poor vision in men was chest deformity[OR(95%CI):2.00(1.25,3.19),P<0.05]and for poor vision in women was thyroid abnormality[OR(95%CI):1.03(1.21,3.54),P<0.05],provide a scientific basis for effective prevention and control strategies for students'myopia.Conclusions The overall visual acuity of primary and secondary school provinces in Jinan City's Huaiyin District is not optimistic,and chest deformities and abnormal thyroid function may be risk factors for the development of poor vision.
