Progress in the study of the pathogenesis of dry eye of dry syndrome type
Dry eye is a kind of ocular surface disease with complex pathogenesis and multi-factor influence. The main characteristics of dry eye are ocular discomfort and visual impairment caused by persistent tear film instability.Sjögren's syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease that mainly involves exocrine glands such as lacrimal and salivary glands.Only 10%of dry eyes are caused by Sjögren's syndrome, which causes severe eye irritation and visual impairment.Currently, studies on dry eye mainly focus on metaromian gland dysfunction dry eye with a high incidence, while there are few studies on the pathogenesis of Sjögren's type dry eye. This paper will review the pathogenesis of Sjögren's type dry eye from the aspects of neural abnormalities of lacrimal gland and cornea, changes in proteomic characteristics, and elevated osman pressure of tears. It is hoped to provide a new direction for subclinical prevention and treatment of Sjögren's syn-drome type dry eye.
