Management and research progress of pediatric vitreoretinopathy
Pediatric vitreoretinopathy is the main cause of visual dysplasia and blindness in children.Compared with adult fundus diseases and other pediatric eye diseases, pediatric vitreoretinopathy is more difficult to find, diagnose and treat in the early stage, and it is easy to lead to permanent irreversible damage to vision in children. This article summa-rizes a number of new technologies and achievements made in recent years in vitreoretinal surgery in pediatrics, for ex-ample:two-step widefield fundus fluorescein angiography、staged surgery、viscodelamination of fiber proliferation mem-brane after the lens、coats'disease endolaser photocoagulation via a two-port pars plana nonvitrectomy approach and sub-retinal fluid using a 24G i.v.catheter、minimally segmental scleral buckling surgery、iris puncture technique、dry-lensectomyassisted lensectomy、subretinal injection of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)、use of iris speculum、management of pediatric macular hole、named of anterior-anterior type of persistent fetal vasculature(AAPFV).This article reviews the new technologies and new achievements.
