Correlation analysis of carotid ultrasound parameters and examination indexes with retinal vein occlusion
Objective To analyze the correlation between carotid ultrasound parameters and retinal vein occlu-sion(RVO),and to explore the risk factors, pathogenesis and biological prediction of RVO.Methods Retrospective clinical study.A total of 54 inpatients diagnosed with retinal vein obstruction in the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Uni-versity of Science and Technology from December 2021 to November 2023 were selected as the study group, all of whom developed monocular disease, including 32 cases of central retinal vein obstruction and 22 cases of branch vein obstruc-tion,and 54 cases of non-retinal vein occlusion in the same period were selected as the control group.Carotid ultrasound and peripheral blood test were performed in both groups to compare the difference of different parameters between the two groups.Results(1)Carotid artery parameters PSV and EDV in RVO group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05);RI and IMT were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).(2)the indexes of N,PLR and NLR in RVO group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05),while L was lower than that in control group(P<0.05);PLT in RVO group was higher than that in control group(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups.(3)Multivariate Logistic regression results:the increase of NLR and PLR and the decrease of L were independent risk factors for RVO.(4)ROC curve analysis:the AUC of L predicted RVO was 0.888(P<0.05),the AUC of NLR count predicted RVO was 0.891(P<0.05),and the AUC of PLR count predicted RVO was 0.873(P<0.05).Conclusions Carotid ar-tery ultrasound parameters and test indicators are closely related to retinal vein occlusion, which can evaluate the risk of RVO and provide a certain reference basis for early prevention and treatment.
