Meta-analysis of the improvement effect of mindfulness-based intervention on the sleep disorders in stroke patients
Objective To evaluate the improvement effect of mindfulness-based intervention(MBI)on the sleep disorders in stroke patients by Meta-analysis.Methods Embase,PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,CINAHL,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang,VIP and China Biomedical Literature Database were searched by computer from the establishment of the database to October 31,2022.The literature was screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the data extraction and quality evaluation of the included literature were performed.Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan5.3 software. Results A total of 12 articles were included, involving 1 006 patients, including 502 cases in the observation group and 504 cases in the control group. The results of Meta-analysis showed that the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.00001).Merge results showed that, the total sleep time(TST),arousal times(AT),awakening time(AWT),sleep efficiency(SE),stage 3 continuous sleep time(S3),stage 4 continuous sleep time(S4),non-rapid eye movement sleep(NREM),arousal ratio(AR),micro-awakening times(MAT)and micro-awakening times of rapid-eye-movement sleep(MAT-REM)were compared between the two groups, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion MBI can alleviate sleep disorders and negative emotions such as anxiety and depression in stroke patients in the short term, but whether it can benefit in the long term still requires high-quality,large-sample and multi-center follow-up studies.
