Effect of three-dimensional trauma external fixator system combined with flap repair in the treatment of open fracture of tibia and fibula with soft tissue defect and its influences on wound healing and inflammatory factors levels
Objective To investigate the effect of three-dimensional trauma external fixator system combined with flap repair in the treatment of open fracture of tibia and fibula with soft tissue defect. Methods A total of 120 patients with open fracture of tibia and fibula with soft tissue defect admitted from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were divided into control group and observation group according to the difference of treatment methods, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional fixation combined with flap repair, and the observation group was treated with three-dimensional trauma external fixator system combined with flap repair. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 1 month after operation, the Lane-Sandhu X-ray score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).At 1 d after operation, the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).At 3 months after operation, the ankle Kofoed function score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Three-dimensional trauma external fixator system combined with flap repair is effective in the treatment of open fracture of tibia and fibula with soft tissue defect. It can promote wound healing of patients, reduce the levels of inflammatory factors, and also contribute to the rapid recovery of joint function.
