Application value of PBL combined with typical case PPT report competition method in neurological department practice teaching
Objective To explore the application value of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with typical case PPT report competition method in neurological department practice teaching.Methods From July 2020 to July 2022,80 clinical medical students of Hunan University of Medicine who practiced in the neurological department were selected as the research objects,and the students were randomly divided into control group and teaching reform group,with 40 cases in each group.The control group adopted the traditional lecture-based learning(LBL),and the teaching reform group adopted the PBL combined with typical case PPT report competition method.The application effects of the two groups were compared.Results The theoretical and clinical skills scores of the teaching reform group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of interesting classroom,self-learning ability,clinical thinking ability,teamwork ability,communication and expression ability in the teaching reform group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the proportion of innovation ability between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion PBL combined with typical case PPT report competition method can improve students'academic performance and comprehensive quality while increasing classroom interest,and improve the clinical teaching level of neurological department,which is worthy of promotion and application in practice teaching.
