Research progress on the significance of systemic immune-inflammation index in the evaluation of immune inflammatory disease
The systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)is a comprehensive index of peripheral neutrophil,lymphocyte and platelet counts,which is easily accessible and low cost-effective.The latest studies shown that elevated SII levels often suggesting a poor prognosis of the disease.Compared with other inflammatory indicators,it can more fully reflect the equilibrium state of the inflammatory response.SII plays an important role in the occurrence,development and prognosis of many diseases,such as acute pancreatitis(AP),intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH),coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CAHD),tumor diseases and etc.It has attracted the great attention from researchers at home and abroad.This article reviews the research progress of the significance of SII in the evaluation of immune inflammatory disease,in order to provides guidance for the occurrence,treatment and prognosis of inflammatory diseases.
