Application of opioid-free anesthesia strategy in laparoscopic surgery
Due to the abuse of perioperative opioid and the side effects of opioid,opioid-free anesthesia(OFA)has emerged and attracted more and more attention in clinical application.OFA is a multi-modal anesthesia that combines non-opioid and/or technologies to achieve a high-quality general anesthesia. This anesthesia avoids the use of opioid during anesthesia, thus avoiding corresponding side effects, while ensuring adequate analgesic effects and accelerating postoperative recovery.Laparoscopy was originally used for disease detection, but with the progress of science and technology,it is possible to perform surgery through smaller incision, and laparoscopy surgery is becoming more and more widely used. This article reviews the opioid crisis and side effects as the starting point, and expounds the principle of OFA and the current application of this anesthesia strategy in laparoscopic surgery.
