Clinical effect of sacubitril/valsartan in the treatment of maintenance hemodialysis patients with chronic heart failure
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of sacubitril/valsartan in the treatment of maintenance hemodialysis patients with chronic heart failure. Methods Twenty-one patients with maintenance hemodialysis complicated with chronic heart failure in the blood purification center of Shaanxi Provincial Second People's Hospital were selected as the study objects. All patients were treated with sacubitril/valsartan for 12 weeks. The vital signs, biochemical indexes, cardiac function indexes, quality of life and adverse reactions before and after treatment were compared. Results After treatment, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, proportion of New York Heart Association(NYHA)gradeⅢ,and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)level in patients with maintenance hemodialysis complicated with chronic heart failure were lower than those before treatment, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)was higher than that before treatment, while left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVDD)and left ventricular end-systolic dimension(LVDS)were less than those before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of physical health and mental health in patients with maintenance hemodialysis complicated with chronic heart failure were higher than those before treatment(P<0.001).Conclusion Sacubitril/valsartan is beneficial to improve cardiac function and quality of life in patients with maintenance hemodialysis complicated with chronic heart failure.
