Application effect of modified nasogastric tube fixation method in prevention of nasal mucosa pressure injury
Objective To observe the preventive effect of modified nasogastric tube fixation method on nasal mucosal pressure injury.Methods A total of 118 patients who needed indwelling nasogastric tube in the general surgery department,Shaanxi Provincial Cancer Hospital from April to August 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,the patients were divided into control group(58 cases)and intervention group(60 cases).The nasogastric tube materials and models of the two groups were the same.The control group was fixed with conventional tape method,and the intervention group was fixed with modified nasogastric tube method.The intervention effects of the two groups were compared.Results The total incidence of nasal mucosal pressure injury in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of nasal pain in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction rate of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of catheter displacement,extubation and self-extubation in the intervention group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The nursing comfort of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The modified nasogastric tube fixation method can effectively prevent nasal mucosal pressure injury,reduce nasal pain,improve patient nursing satisfaction and comfort,and reduce the incidences of catheter displacement,extubation and self-extubation.
