Application of HOPE concept into scenario simulation in clinical skill course-lumbar puncture
Objective To explore the application effect of HOPE concept into scenario simulation in the teaching of lumbar puncture. Methods From October 2021 to February 2023,A total of 70 students in the standardized training stage of resident doctors in Zhenjiang First People's Hospital were selected as the research objects. The students were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 35 students in each group. The control group was taught by scenario simulation teaching method, and the experimental group was taught by HOPE concept into scenario simulation teaching method. The theoretical scores, operation scores, comprehensive ability and teaching satisfaction of the two groups of students were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the theoretical scores between the two groups(P>0.05);the operation scores of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of doctor-patient communication, aseptic operation, complication treatment and professional quality in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The teaching satisfaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion HOPE concept into scenario simulation teaching can make up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching methods, stimulate students'interest in learning, improve teaching satisfaction, and thus improve teaching quality, which is worthy of promotion.
