Analysis of clinical characteristics of multiple primary cancer
Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of multiple primary cancer,in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment level of multiple primary cancer.Methods The clinical data of 164 patients with multiple primary cancer admitted from November 2020 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed,and the incidence,clinical characteristics and treatment method of multiple primary cancer were summarized and analyzed.Results The overall incidence of multiple primary cancer was 0.64%,with a male to female ratio of 1:2.09.There were 42 cases of synchronous multiple primary cancer and 122 cases of heterogeneous multiple primary cancer.The most common sites of the first cancer were breast,respiratory system and digestive system,and the most common sites of the second cancer were respiratory system,digestive system and reproductive system.Surgery,radiotherapy,chemotherapy,immunology,endocrinology,targeted and interventional therapy were all important treatment methods for first and second,third and fourth cancers,and the operation rate of second cancer was lower than that of first cancer.Conclusion The treatment method for multiple primary cancer depends on the pathological type,stage,and individual differences of each tumor.It is necessary to improve the cognition of multiple primary cancer,achieve early diagnosis and active treatment,in order to improve the quality of life and prolong survival period of patients.
