Effect of nasal endoscopic surgery combined with radiofrequency ablation of turbinate with low temperature plasma in the treatment of patients with chronic sinusitis and its influences on nasal ventilation function and allergy after surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of nasal endoscopic surgery combined with radiofrequency ablation of turbinate with low temperature plasma in the treatment of patients with chronic sinusitis.Methods Eighty patients with chronic sinusitis admitted in our hospital from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the study objects and divided into control group and observation group according to the differences in surgical methods,with 40 cases in each group.The control group underwent nasal endoscopic surgery,and the observation group underwent nasal endoscopic surgery combined with radiofrequency ablation of turbinate with low temperature plasma.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).At 1 d after surgery,the nasal volume of the observation group was greater than that of the control group,and the nasal resistance was less than that of the control group(P<0.05).At 1 d after surgery,the total immunoglobulin E(TIgE)and eosinophil cationic protein(ECP)levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).At 3 months after surgery,the saccharin clearance time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group,the mucociliary clearance rate was higher than that of the control group,and the mucociliary clearance speed was greater than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Nasal endoscopic surgery combined with radiofrequency ablation of turbinate with low temperature plasma has a significant effect in the treatment of chronic sinusitis,it can promote the improvement of postoperative nasal ventilation function and nasal mucociliary clearance function,alleviate allergic reaction,and has high safety,which is worthy of promotion.
