Effect of Mudan granule combined with epalrestat in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy
Objective To investigate the effect of Mudan granule combined with epalrestat in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods A total of 96 patients with DPN admitted from January to December 2018 were selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,with 48 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with blood glucose regulation and neurotrophic therapy,the control group was treated with epalrestat,and the observation group was treated with Mudan granule on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the score of Michigan Neuropathy Screening Instrument(MNSI)in the two groups was lower than that before treatment,and that in the observation group was lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)and motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV)of common peroneal nerve and median nerve in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);after treatment,the SCV of common peroneal nerve and median nerve in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).No gastrointestinal discomfort,drug allergy and other symptoms were observed during the treatment.Conclusion Mudan granule combined with epalrestat in the treatment of DPN has a better effect,and with high safety,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
