Effects of problem-based learning combined with scene simulation teaching method on the participation and comprehensive ability of orthopedic nursing students
Objective To explore the application effect of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with scene simulation teaching method in the teaching of orthopedic nursing students.Methods A total of 88 nursing students who practiced in orthopedics department of our hospital from June 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the research objects.The nursing students were randomly divided into traditional teaching group and combined teaching group,with 44 cases in each group.The traditional teaching group adopted the conventional teaching method,and the combined teaching group adopted the PBL combined with scene simulation teaching method.The participation,theoretical and practical scores,critical thinking ability,teaching evaluation and teacher evaluation of the two groups were compared.Results The scores of teaching,clinical nursing work,communication and cooperation,scientific research,professional values and professional development ability in the combined teaching group were higher than those in the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).At the 1,3,6 month,the theoretical and practical scores of the combined teaching group were higher than those of the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).After the teaching,the Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory Chinese Version(CTDI-CV)score of the two groups was higher than that before the teaching,and that of the combined teaching group was higher than the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).The teaching praise rate of the combined teaching group was higher than that of the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).The teaching quality,students'enthusiasm,performance feedback scores and total score of the combined teaching group were higher than those of the traditional teaching group(P<0.05).Conclusion PBL combined with scene simulation teaching method can improve the comprehensive performance of orthopedic nursing students,enhance participation,and help to improve the teaching evaluation of nursing students and the teacher evaluation of leading teachers.
