Abnormal eye movement in atypical Parkinson's syndrome
Atypical Parkinson's syndrome(APS)is a group of neurodegenerative diseases similar to Parkinson's disease(PD),including multiple system atrophy(MSA),dementia with lewy body(DLB),progressive supranuclear palsy(PSP),corticobasal degeneration(CBD),etc. With the aging process of the population, the incidence of neurodegenerative diseases such as APS is increasing. At present, the diagnosis of APS depends on the possibility of"danger signals"being recognized, including early frequent falls, early cognitive impairment, faster progression, poor response to levodopa, etc. In recent years, with the research progress,it has been found that the eye movement of APS patients has different degrees of obstacles, and the eye movement assessment has the advantage of non-invasiveness,which has certain auxiliary diagnostic value for APS.Therefore, this article will systematically review the eye movement disorders of APS.
