Analysis of influencing factors of blood glucose level in children with diabetic ketoacidosis at discharge
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of blood glucose level in children with diabetic ketoacidosis(DKA)at discharge. Methods A total of 124 children with DKA who were hospitalized in Henan Children's Hospital from 2014 to 2022 were selected as study objects.According to the diagnostic criteria of diabetes, the children were divided into normal blood glucose group(n=93)and abnormal blood glucose group(n=31).The normal blood glucose group was defined as fasting blood glucose<7.0 mmol/L at discharge, and the abnormal blood glucose group was defined as fasting blood glucose≥7.0 mmol/L at discharge. The demographic data, clinical symptoms and laboratory examination indexes of the children were extracted from the inpatient medical records and compared.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the correlation between demographic data, clinical symptoms and laboratory examination indexes and whether the blood glucose value was normal at discharge. Results There was a negative correlation between the stable income of the family and the abnormal blood glucose value at discharge(P<0.05).Deep or sigh-like breathing, infection symptoms, and the number of symptoms were positively correlated with abnormal blood glucose levels at discharge(P<0.05).Conclusion Children with DKA with infection symptoms and more clinical symptoms have an increased risk of abnormal blood glucose at discharge, while Children with stable family income have a reduced risk of abnormal blood glucose at discharge.
