Analysis of the status and influencing factors of self-perceived burden in patients with primary brain tumors
Objective To investigate the status of self-perceived burden(SPB)in patients with primary brain tumor(PBT)and analyze the influencing factors. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted on 270 patients from March to November 2022 in the neurosurgery department,a top three hospital in Nanchong city,Sichuan province. The survey tools included general information questionnaire,Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)and Self-Perceived Burden Scale for Cancer Patients(SPBS-CP).Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of SPB.Results Finally,a total of 257 patients with PBT were included, and the total score of SPBS-CP was(53.18±22.19)points.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the SPBS-CP scores of patients with course of disease>6 months,KPS score≤70 points, lower educational background, heavier medical burden and other caregivers were higher(P<0.05).Conclusion The SPB of PBT patients is at a moderate level.Medical staff should focus on patients with a course of disease>6 months,KPS score≤70 points, low education, heavy medical burden, and other caregivers.
