Application effect of failure mode and effect analysis in the prevention of intermittent oro-esophageal tube feeding aspiration pneumonia in patients with swallowing dysfunction after stroke
Objective To explore the application effect of failure mode and effect analysis(FMEA)in the prevention of intermittent oro-esophageal tube feeding(IOE)aspiration pneumonia in patients with swallowing dysfunction after stroke. Methods A total of 100 patients with swallowing dysfunction after stroke admitted in our hospital from November 2019 to June 2020 were selected as the control group, and 100 patients with swallowing dysfunction after stroke admitted from July 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the observation group. All patients were treated with IOE for nutritional support.During the period, the control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given FMEA on the basis of the control group. The intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of prevention and control attitude, knowledge and behavior of aspiration pneumonia in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP)and procalcitonin(PCT)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of aspiration, esophageal reflux and aspiration pneumonia in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the nursing satisfaction was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion FMEA can effectively reduce the risk of aspiration pneumonia during IOE in patients with swallowing dysfunction after stroke.
