Clinical effect of azelastine nasal spray combined with nasal irrigation in the treatment of patients with allergic rhinitis
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of azelastine nasal spray combined with nasal irrigation in the treatment of patients with allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods A total of 100 AR patients admitted from July 2019 to July 2021 were selected as the research objects,according to the principle of random distribution,the patients were divided into control group and study group,with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with nasal irrigation,and the study group was treated with azelastine nasal spray on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the scores of sneezing,nasal congestion,nasal itching and runny nose in the two groups decreased,and those in the study group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of substance P(SP),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)and nerve growth factor(NGF)in the two groups decreased,and those in the study group were lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB),aquaporin 5(AQP5)and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1)in the two groups decreased,while the level of interleukin-12(IL-12)increased,and those in the study group were better than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in the two groups increased,while the CD8+and immunoglobulin E(IgE)level decreased,and those in the study group were better than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the peak expiratory flow(PEF),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV[)and the ratio of the forced expiratory volume in one second and the forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)in the two groups increased,and those in the study group were higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Azelastine nasal spray combined with nasal irrigation in the treatment of AR can not only improve the symptoms of patients,but also regulate the levels of neurotransmitters and inflammatory factors,and improve the immune function and lung function,which is worthy of vigorous promotion.
