Clinical effect of oral administration of Xiaohuang Wendan decoction combined with probiotics enema in the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction after radical resection+orthotopic ileal neobladder for bladder cancer
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of oral administration of Xiaohuang Wendan decoction combined with probiotics enema in the treatment of postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction(POGD)underwen radical resection+orthotopic ileal neobladder for bladder cancer.Methods A total of 84 POGD patients who underwent radical resection+orthotopic ileal neobladder for bladder cancer in the urinary surgery department of Foshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects.The patients were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method,with 42 cases in each group.Both groups were given basic treatment,the control group was given intramuscular injection of neostigmine methylsulfate injection combined with kaiselu anal enema,while the experimental group was given oral administration of Xiaohuang Wendan decoction combined with probiotics enema.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the scores of abdominal distension,bowel sounds and accompanying symptoms in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of gastrin(GAS)and motilin(MOT)in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group,the C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)levels and white blood cell(WBC)in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Oral administration of Xiaohuang Wendan decoction combined with probiotics enema in the treatment of POGD underwent radical resection+orthotopic ileal neobladder for bladder cancer has exact clinical effect.
